Yamaha introduced today at the 41st edition of the Salon International Tokyo Motor Show, the concept of Super Tenere. The first rumors about the development of a follower of the famous maxi enduro appeared late last year.
In 90 years, motorcycles Yamaha Tenere managed to be a dominant force in the Paris-Dakar rally. Yamaha Lord called adventures, the original concept presented by the Japanese put on record value sport and presents a unique look, like imitating the shape of the logo of the famous Bedouin African rally.
Yamaha Super Tenere wants to redefine the concept of adventure touring long distances, raising the technological level and presenting it with a radically changed design. Motorcycle Series will have a propellant of 1200cmc with 2-cylinder and will be equipped with technologies such as traction control, ABS, a unified system for the brakes (UBS) and the final transmission by Cardan. It is expected to make its appearance on the market in 2010.
Yamaha has not released other details at the moment but will return with more information in due course.
