Initially launched in spring 1978, the legendary model of Yamaha SR400 will be presented at the Tokyo Motor Show 2009 version with electronic injection. The bike still sells in Japan and could be back in Europe.
SR400 is the fundamental concept for many motorcycle, simple design, easy to maintain, reliable and very low. Qualities they turned into a lasting model with a large number of fans for more than 30 years. From 2010, air-cooled engine will be equipped with injection, watching the first pollutant emissions. Yamaha has operated other changes to not affect the classic motorcycle.
Currently, carburettor version has its own weight of 168kg and the engine 399cmc develop 27cp and 29Nm. Said consumption is only 2.27 liters per 100km, obtained at a speed of 60km / h.
If the previous edition Yamaha presented with a lot of world premieres, this year the company has announced the launch of models or new concepts at the 41st edition of the Salon Tokyo Motor Show, but not excluded to have part of some surprises.
