Hamamatsu Company of the athletes will enter the segment 125cmc new GSX-R 125, to compete with the Yamaha YZF R125, Honda CBR 125R but with European models and Aprilia RS 125 and Derbi GPR 125.
Picture obtained from British Superbikes reveals that the bike is already in final stage of production, the only details missing are specific brand stickers. The design is inspired by that of older brothers GSX-R and is adapted in an elegant way to class proportions.
Weighting machine has a curved, also inspired by those in higher classes. Sources in the Suzuki model informs that was designed by Satoshi Miyake, the designer is also responsible for future GSR 250.
We have no technical details but we can see conventional fork and front brake with a single disc. It is expected that the new model will be powered by a single cylinder engine of 125cmc modern 4-stroke, water cooled. Scaritele lowered, high handlebars and passenger handle us to believe that the bike is closer to the spirit of CBR's practically the only 125's sport at R125.
The most likely price the new GSX-R will range between values of 3500 and 4000 euros in order to compete with the CBR 125R and R125, leading to sales in this segment. We will come back with more details.
