MV Agusta launched today at the opening salon EICMA 2009 in Milan, the new generation of legendary exotic F4 Superbike. Italian manufacturer continue as a series of updates for 2010, started with the new Brutale models.
As Italians, the new F4 is a project that goes beyond the tradition of MV Agusta, a motorbike built to the highest levels of engineering, offering incredible performance.

Launched initially in 1998 under the signature of famous Italian designer Massimo tambourine, presents the new F4 is completely updated. Although at first sight the design seems unchanged, a closer analysis will notice that most elements were redesigned. Even so, MV Agusta has chosen evolution instead of revolution in terms of appearance, which is understandable considering the appreciation enjoyed the previous generation, being recognized as one of the most beautiful supersport motorcycles.
Protrude from the front air intakes, new, dynamic shroud lines, windscreen with a new form, more sharp at the base and the new xenon lamp. Changes continue with a redesigned tank and side cutouts carenele us. At the rear, the new stem is more supple and the exhaust pipes 4, signature F4, are now rectangular endings.
The new 4-cylinder propulsion of 998cmc is able to develop a maximum output of 186 hp at 12,900 rpm and 114Nm of torque at 9.500rpm. It has variable-length intake system, two injectors per cylinder, slipper clutch, TC MK II, a traction control system with 8 settings, and a 7-MS ECU Marelli unit to control all electronic systems present. The new engine can propel the bike up to a maximum speed of 305km / h.
The new chassis was completely redesigned, more compact, more rigid, lighter and has a new weighting machine, which is now longer and easier, and fully adjustable suspension made from a 50mm Marzocchi fork and a Sachs shock absorber. The new F4 weighs 192.5 kilograms from empty. In a disappointing, although many components are lighter, its weight in goals is one of the largest in this segment, as for example 21 kg higher than that of a Ducati 1198. Front brake system has two 320mm discs with 4 piston Brembo radial calipers and 210mm rear disc with a 4-piston calipers Nissin brand.
