Only a few months after they said they will launch a series of models equipped with single cylinder Buell Blast, Mac Motorcycles learned with stupor of removing it from production, not at all discreet U.S. producer about his removal from the market.
Fresh British company reviewed its options and finally arriving at a solution point, namely single cylinder engine from Yamaha XT 660Z. Unlike the Buell Blast, Japanese engine is powered and cooled by water injection, which brings some positive aspects but also problems and difficulties in design aesthetics.
Increasing the power would be from 34 to 48 horses and reliability of the new Yamaha engine could more easily convince a customer yet unformed. Procurement of parts and easy network service authorized Yamaha's worldwide would complete list of benefits of this change.
Mac Motorcycles Yamaha Motor said that the acquisition will not impact the final price forecast by British company for all its models.
