Honda XRV 750, better known as Africa Twin, is a legendary model of the Japanese manufacturer, acknowledged as one of the most robust and reliable Honda motorcycles ever manufactured.
If several rumors appeared last year announced that Honda will produce more of a follower of current Varadero, equipped with propeller V4 Italians certainly give impetus to Infomotori famous adventure mode, more than seven years after production stops.
It seems that Africa's future will be powered by a twin engine new V2 will have a displacement of 1.000cmc, as have major 1.200cmc against competing models (BMW R 1200 GS and Yamaha Super Tenere 1200), just to get a Tare mass minimized. However, power and torque will be close to the competition. Furthermore, the transmission chain will be final and 21-inch front wheel.
It is expected that the official launch of the new Africa Twin XRV 1000 will take place in autumn, the EICMA Show in Milan, with the presentation model Aprilia Tuareg, a potential future competitor.
