Originally announced by some teaser photos a few days ago, electric motorcycles KTM Freeride were unveiled by German magazine Motorrad, despite the embargo imposed by the Austrian manufacturer.
KTM wants to officially launch the new models at Tokyo Motorcycle Show 2010, which takes place this weekend. They represent an evolution of the Zero Emissions Motorcycle, originally presented in October 2008 as the prototype. Available in variants Supermoto and Enduro, KTM electric bike will have a price below the amount of $ 10,000.
Currently little is known technical details. The electric motor is installed in a tubular steel frame, is powered by a pack of lithium-ion batteries and will develop 2.5kWh seems 30cp and a torque of 44.7 Nm. Curb will be the 90kg and functional autonomy of 1.5 hours.
