Two months after the shock news that Davide Tardozzi announced his retirement from the Ducati Corse team, the Italian manager confirms entry BMW World Superbike team. Apparently Tardozzi signed a contract three years with the team and German manufacturer will lead its efforts in the World Championship.
Tardozzi is one of the most successful managers in World Superbike, winning 10 titles with drivers such as Carl Fogarty, Neil Hodgson, James Toseland and Troy Bayliss. "In 2010 we will try to do what he did Aprilia in 2009, namely a few podiums and maybe even a win, so that we are ready to fight for the title the following season in 2011," said Tardozzi for GPON.
In 2009, the Italian has faced many criticisms for not to impose team orders on Fabrizio's to help the Hague to steal the title, but it is unknown if this was a significant factor in the decision to withdraw.
