Barracuda 2 is the last American manufacturer Buell Superbike the former, what model should replace the 1125R in 2011, before production is stopped by the parent company Harley-Davidson.
This was revealed exclusively by American magazine Cycle World, which was able to make a test with the latest Buell motorcycle.
First style change is noticed, Americans managed to turn the controversial design of the old organic 1125R in one angular, more dynamic and modern. Carenele fully dressed engine, massive evacuation no longer visible, and emphasizes the dynamic character of stem minimalist's Superbike.
From a technical standpoint, the model differentiates the 1125R with its smaller mass with a 9kg, reaching a total of 161kg to empty final transmission by chain, fork inverted Showa BPF (Big Piston Fork) and receiving side radiator air the front shroud, thereby eliminating strange carenele radiator previous model.
V2 of the Rotax engine has also undergone changes: bore is smaller, more travel, the valves are titanium and the compression ratio was increased to 12.8:1, resulting in a higher power and torque 11cp identical 111Nm but with a smoother delivery.
With improvements made to all chapters, Buell Barracuda 2 could become the model re-launch of manufacturer American sport motorcycle market.
