Masterbike is an annual test organized by the magazine Motociclismo Spain in order to determine the performance sports bike of the year. The trial was conducted solely on the circuit are invited publications worldwide Moto (such Motociclismo Italy, Motorrad Germany, MCN United Kingdom and more) but also participating motorcycle manufacturers, Aprilia, BMW, Ducati, Honda, Kawasaki, KTM, MV Agusta, Suzuki and Yamaha.

Manufacturers were allowed to choose from a variety of racing tires, to select the most suitable option for their motorcycle, but also to set the suspension to run on the track. Each was tested on a stand Superbike Dyno independently to ensure that they have not undergone the process of tuning.

Winners are determined by a note which contribute the best lap time achieved overall (at a rate of 40%), the best time of each test driver (40%) and individual score on each of them (20% ).

The 13th edition Masterbike was lucky to BMW's Superbike, he managed to defeat all eight competitors, including four Europeans and four Japanese. With a maximum output of 193 hp (of which 183 are available at the wheel!) And an impressive list of amenities, the new S 1000 RR has raised the bar very high in 2010 in Superbike class, beating opponents with such renowned Yamaha R1, Honda Fireblade, 1000 Suzuki GSX-R and Ducati 1198. The bike is even more impressive with how we think that one has no real predecessor, is a completely new project. In only 3 months of the campaign in which controversial HR 1000 declares war on Japan, the German Superbike manages to annihilate the competition not only Japanese but also the European, in one of the most famous international comparative tests.

Aside from the victory at BMW, notes that 2010 is the year to Masterbike European manufacturers, Japanese motorcycles being found is the last place. After the big winner S 1000 RR, was ranked the best-performing Superbike Aprilia RSV 4 Factory, winner Masterbike 2009 edition, the new MV Agusta F4, which was relaunched in 2010, followed by KTM Rc8 R and Ducati 1198.
