BMW today unveiled the upgraded version of the popular Maxi Enduro R 1200 GS, the Adventure and its version of the Tourer's R 1200 RT, all will be presented to the public next week at the Milan EICMA saloon
Both models benefit from new propeller with 1.170cmc boxer DOHC 4-valve, now available only on HP2 Sport. It now developing 110HP at 7750 rpm, with 5cp more than the current model, and 120Nm of torque at 6,000 rpm, with more 5Nm. Engine speed limit was increased to 500 rpm, reaching now to 8500 rpm.
Germans at BMW said that the new Euro 4 engine is not only higher values of torque and power but also a more spontaneous and direct response acceleration.
Besides the new engine, R 1200 RT received a standard feature integrated ABS, electronically adjustable ESA II suspension, new audio system with an interface for Multi-Controller USB/MP3 iPod, crest restyled for greater protection from wind and rain, board facelift, electronically controlled windscreen and new colors.
R 1200 GS Adventure benefits from adjustments and improved the windscreen, new versions of color, accessories to mention new LED headlamps, supensie enduro ESA, final Akrapovic exhaust and carbon heat shield.
The models will be available from February 2010 the following prices (in Germany):
R 1200 GS - 13,000 euros
R 1200 GS Adventure - 14,550 euros
R 1200 RT - 16,200 euros
