BMW Motorrad has unveiled today at the EICMA saloon surprise: Concept 6, a concept powered by an impressive 6-cylinder engine, which prefigures a future Sport Tourer series.
Propulsorul is the answer to the new V4 Honda Germans, saying that it will surpass them. Specialist in 6-cylinder engines, used successfully for years of BMW cars, the German manufacturer will use the first of its motorcycles. Engine not only offers refinement, superior power and performances, but a great sound, comparable to a turbo engine.

The new engine was designed specifically for motorcycles and will be more narrow than all propulsoarele with 6 cylinders so far and only a little wider than one with 4 cylinders. It will have a displacement of about 1300cmc will be available at 2000rpm and an impressive torque of 130Nm. In normal touring conditions, consumption will be lower than a comparable 4-cylinder engine.
Concept 6 is a sporting and muscular but, according to BMW, taking elements of cafe racer style, combining classical with modern. The back-and short-line descendant of all tank-hull, gives an aggressive air. The design is complemented by many original details and notes here as final releases, 3 outputs, but also covers the side of the reservoir, with a technical aspect.
We can only show impressed by surprise offered by BMW and look forward to the first information about upcoming series models to be based on the concept.
