Aprilia has officially launched more accessible version of the RSV4 Superbike site. RSV4 R V4 engine keeps 180 horses and other hi-tech present the Factory version has a suspension but cheaper and with a price close below 4000 euros, to be competitive in Superbike segment.
RSV4 Factory and RSV4 R follow the model applied in the range RSV 1000 R Factory is the top model, sold in order to approve the version SBK while R is more accessible version of components, in order to sell in greater numbers.
Ohlins suspension-performance system was replaced with a 43mm Showa fork and a Sachs shock absorber, both are adjustable in preload, compression and recovery. Carbon fiber parts were replaced with other plastic and magnesium wheels but are not aluminum like the engine covers. The chassis has undergone changes, the losing and the possibilities of adjusting the pivot point of dump trucks, the steering column angle and position in the engine frame.
As expected, these changes have resulted in a mass and its higher: it is 184kg, with 5kg more than the Factory version.
The rest, motorcycle show unchanged: 999cmc engine, frame, dump trucks and Brembo brakes with monoblock calipers remained the same. Power is still 180cp, each cylinder has two injectors and the engine still has Ride-by-wire system with different power maps, selectable through the handlebar controls: Race offers power and torque, Sports offers maximum power but limited torque in the first 3 steps and Road cut power to 140 hp and torque but all steps and speed the whole beach.
