After being forced to give up the company Buell, Harley-Davidson closed due to lack of profitability, and founded Erik Buell Racing, American returns fastest motorcycle ever built, 1190RR.
Erik Buell 1190RR is a Superbike Racing approved solely for the circuit, built on a standard 1125R, improved with a complete kit of parts Superbike. The evolution is driven by a Rotax engine V2 currently 1125RR, with engine capacity increased to 1190cmc, which develops 185 hp and 124 Nm at the wheel. Because of high quality chassis components, its mass is also with 3.6 kilograms less.
The bike can compete in the Superbike world championships, and AMA Superbike, where 2-cylinder engines have a limit 1.200cmc. Unfortunately, the 1190RR will have a version approved for street, which means we will not be able to see in action in World Superbike.
